WebsiteenSanté is Alberta’s first and only organic-fruit cottage winery where the Chrapko family have been producing organic fruits and wines for over a decade. They grow and harvest all their own fruit and berries in an environmentally sustainable manner.
After years of growing organic crops and raising pigs, Victor and Elizabeth Chrapko were looking for a change on their 1500 acre farm in Brosseau, Alberta, which is located 100 miles northeast of Edmonton. In the spring of 1997, the Chrapkos planted 82 different varieties of apple trees, in addition to plum trees, pear trees, cherry trees, saskatoon bushes, raspberry bushes and rhubarb. All these ingredients contribute to enSanté’s unique and diverse wines which include: Campfire Wild Cherry, Adam’s Apple, Saucy Saskatoon, Raspberry Delight, Raspberry Passion, Kalyna Princess (cranberry), Calypso Rhubarb, Green Envy Alfalfa, Mellow Gold Honey. The wines range from a 1 (dry) to a 10 (sweet).
