Amy’s Container Series

“As we travel through space and time we journey by means of our container. This container encompasses our being and dictates our outward self it is also a vessel, a vessel by which we define our inward self. This series is a reflection of my ponderings with self and the container in which I am bound. Particles, chemicals, bacteria, water and dirt; can we claim this body, this life as our own or is this, our container, a borrowed specimen?”

Amy is a recent graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree from the Faculty of Education with a major in Art. She has studied in both France and Australia and her love of travel has a great influence on her art. She has compiled a body of works that will be on display at KAJ Clothing starting on Thursday, June 25th at seven o’clock. There will be refreshments and snacks… we look forward to seeing you then!
